I use a databased program for my work called SPSS that is like Excel but a pimped up version. So, I handle huge data sets with almost 1,000 participants measured on over 100 variables. So I tell the tech guy setting up my laptop that I need SPSS. Instead of using the software that we bought (he's not very good with software, that's another person in the department's job), he downloads an evaluation version from the internet. EXCUSE ME?? If he would have asked, I would have told him that it is a limiated program that does not let you use larger data sets. I can open smaller ones, but the one with the deadline coming up is not accessible.
When I emailed him, he wrote back "I already installed it on you computer *shrug*". Do you suppose he thinks the *shrug* at the end is cute? I mean seriously. I was so angry when I went to bed that I tossed and turned all night. I kept imagining the CEO (that coincidentally is the nice gentleman here in Tampa who has been super helpful) yelling at me for not following through on my deadlines. ARGHHHHH!!
I'm getting angry. And you wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
UPDATE: I appears that this "oversight" may actually be a program glitch. I shall keep you updated...

I like to listen to you when you're angry. You have great things to say about the situation when you are mad! LOL!
Soooo, what is the next step to getting this problem fixed? Is the CEO mad?
Let us know how it ends up! GOOD LUCK!
Shrugs are barely allowed in person, let alone via email. Argh!!!!!
