Anyhow, I decided that today I am going to get a bed, but don't head out until after one. Did a lot of online scouting and then checked out a few local stores. I felt like I got a sweet deal for a queen size mattress, box spring, frame, scotch guard-y treatment, hypoallergenic water resistant super human mattress pad, and free delivery for about $750. (Mom thinks that I could have found a great bed for about $300. Pretty sure that has not been possible since the invention of the pillow top mattress.)
Then headed off to Best Buy to get a TV. (I HAVE to watch my show tomorrow night. More on that tomorrow, I'm sure.) A very nice gentelman from Iowa helped me out and off I went with a sweet 26" LCD flatscreen. However, I could not get a single soul to help me out in the printer section, so I am going to Circuit City across the street tomorrow. You'd think that I could get service with my new ultra nerdy glasses on.
Needless to say, it was an expensive day, but as I told my dad, I learned that there are a few things you should not go cheap on. Beds, TVs, and Washer/Dryers. Have the washer/dryer (Nikki--it's like DOUBLE the size of the last one!!!) so I just knocked my two big splurges out of my things to do list.
This morning I also set up the security for my wireless router so no one else can steal it. All by my lonesome. Hey, I'm pretty proud here.
As I walked out of Best Buy, the sun was setting. It was gorgeous. I was so afraid that I was not going to be satisfied with the end of the day like I was in NE. I kept remembering in New York and in the Mountains of CO when it went from afternoon straight to evening with no pretty skies. Needless to say, I was satisfied.

Wow! That is a gorgeous picture (McD's and all!). Nothing like a little (or a lot) retail therapy to make a girl feel good. :-)
Ok, LOVE the glasses. Also.... I WANNA USE THAT NEW WASHER!!! LOL!! That old one seriously blew! I am telling you people that read these; you will never fully appreciate the size of your washer and dryer until you use one like she had in the old place where you could literally only get THREE towels in! And they aren't huge towels! Now you will be able to do a whole week's worth of laundry in ONE LOAD, Stace!!! YAAAYYYYYY!!!!
So jealous of your new bed. I need one so bad. The backaches in the morning are about to be my demise. But, alas.... that takes MONEY.
