Late, late, late

Just got in to the hotel at Valdosta, GA. I'm only about three hours from Tampa, so I can get plenty of sleep before heading out for the last leg.

I had a few musings today:

As I was driving, I was entertained by a few people and got to thinking about where they are headed. One was a horse trailer. I have never seen one like it. All of the horses must have been lined up diagonally in the trailer because along the left hand side were five noses sticking out. It was seriously funny just seeing these equine nostrils sticking out of what look like portholes on the side of a ship.

I also passed a lady that was brushing her teeth. We were just outside of Nashville and I wondered if perhaps she was getting ready to meet her boyfriend and wanted to be "kissable" or if she simply just had some great chicken she couldn't get out of her teeth.

The last one was a group of high school kids. I could not get around two cars to get back into the right hand lane "fast enough" for them, so this 17-year-old stared me down as they finally got to pass. I mean really, how bad do you think she thought she appeared sitting all casual and smug like in a honda while she stared down a 26-year-old going 80 mph? Kids.

Also, I am extremely good looking to Southern gentlemen who eat at Wendy's. I did not receive all of my food, so I simply approached the drive through window. (I parked to eat since the dining room was closed.) The guy waiting for his food casually leered at me and said "You have incredible eyes." This was followed by another guy honking as he drove by. I bet they get all of the girls with those moves.

My final thought is this. For some odd reason Georgia smells like cabbage. I don't know why, and it is not a constant state, but never the less, it seems to occur every 50 miles or so. Weird.

Must go. I actually have to get up to work a bit tomorrow. Also, I will hopefully be able to post pics tomorrow.

Pictures, yes! Can't wait.

Love your musings - it's my favorite part of your writing. Cabbage - yuck! When I was first dating Jay, he worked at Runza. He was the filling maker. 'Nuff said.

Guess you're having a good time. And come on, give a little credit where credit is due. Not even a props for helping pack? I'm dissappointed.

One of my favorite parts of travel is watching everyone else. Makes the time go faster and more amusing, as you put it.

Let us know when you have arrived!! I am happy for you that the journey has almost come to its end!!
