I almost forgot. I went on a client visit to Atlanta on Wed and Thurs. I went with the girl that we think (me and a few coworkers) is one of the people who did not want me seeing clients. Anyway, we went to dinner with two of our client/partners. One I have met before (Jamie) and one I had not (Jim). Jamie is excited because his daughter is doing one of those projects where they try to get a postcard from every one of the 50 states. Jim had just been to Hawaii, so they had that, but of course the other golden state is Alaska. I just happen to know two people that will help out with that. I told him that when he picked us up from the train station and when he came to get us at dinner he had called home and told his daughter about getting a postcard from Alaska! She was super excited (take that! The other girl could only offer up N. Dakota.)
Anyway, we headed to Seasons 52 for dinner (YEAH!!!!) As they went to order wine, I had to admit that I didn't like it and ordered a Guinness for myself. We started chatting and just shooting the bull. About 30 minutes later, Jim said "Stacey, you are awesome. Just sitting here, drinking a beer, shooting it with the guys." Then we ordered dessert. The other girl of course had not had dessert in 7 years. Oh yeah. THAT girl. I of course, ordered two. :) The red velvet cake was to die for and the carrot cake was also good. I'm so cool. No "you're so cool" comments were given to her! When the check came, Jim asked how to spell my name so he could record who he took to dinner. I delivered my "Dangler. That's Danger, with an L" line. He liked it so much that they repeated it while introducing me during our presentation.
The next morning at the presentation, I offered my two cents whenever possible. I like to be an active participant. The other girl only spoke during the slides she was in charge of.
I don't know that I was so much better, but I really felt that I did a good job and was glad that the clients appreciated it. Go me!

You KNOW who we think wins!
You get that confidence from you dad. I'm glad you enjoy yourself- I enjoy you, too.
You won on personality alone, the smarts just got you even further. I am glad it all went so well. And thanks for sharing more photos!!! Beauty-full!!!
That is a great story. I'm glad you had fun and felt good afterwards. I think that as long as you're yourself, that's what comes through and makes an event a success. Just being yourself!
