We're not in Kansas anymore

Things are a little weird here sometimes. (In addition to the neighbor anyway.)

Leaping lizards! Everywhere I go there are these little lizards called anoles around here. When I head to the gym, I have to be careful not to step on them. They scamper across my patio through a tiny hole in the corner of the screen and hang out around the pool. If you ever come to visit, I hope you don't mind lizards. They are only about six inches in length and their body is about the size of my thumb.

The wildlife is just kind of funny here. While I was at the pool the other day, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. I looked up to see a little blue heron walking along the outside rim of the pool. He just waltzed in through the gate and walked the whole perimiter of the pool before leaving. Go figure, I forgot my camera at the apartment.

This just goes along with the whole "florida pigeon" thing from Disney. I mean really. Nebraska just has sparrows and such. Anyway. That's all that I have for today.

That is funny. Let's just hope you don't get any croc visits at the pool!

I hope your slathering the sun screen at the pool Ms. Nebraska. (That's the mom in me).

I am visiting Florida in Oct. (Naples) so I hope to see some of these critters. Fun!
