Well, I finally got to sleep. At 4 pm. Got to sleep for about 3.5 hours and then got up to start trying to function again. Mel-Not sure what happened to mom making comments. I know that she has been cleaning out her basement....for a week!
For those of you who do not know, my mother is a preschool teacher and valuable packrat. I say valuable because she always had what we kids needed. Cardboard toilet paper tubes? Check. Cabbage Patch Dolls? Check. Childhood artwork for nostalgic projects? Check. Everything from happy meal toys to my dad's old ties are located in her treasure box of a basement. Thanksgiving is more like Christmas when the kids get to play with transformers and the dollhouses that our grandpa made me and my sister. However, she has gone through it all.
I'm afraid to come back and find that it's all gone. I'm sure as a young grandmother, she kept some of it, but you never know with my mom.
Well, I'm off to bed so I can get up early, complete my work, and go SHOPPING! I still need a dress for the work banquet next weekend. I'm a little disappointed in myself. I wanted to come backc all fresh looking, tan and well....hot when I came back. I am a little darker, especially considering I do not go to the pool without SPF 50 sunblock. (I'm not a big fan of the leather skin look, or skin cancer for that matter.) I suppose if I did drop weight and came back with a tan, I might look too tanorexic. Oh well, guess I'll just have to find a smashing dress.

Nobody wants a tanorexic.
Hope you find that dress!
You'll look gorgeous, I am sure. Now get some sleep! :-)
