Getting lazy

Man. Work is getting crazy, but when I go to figure my hours, they never seem representative. I feel like just slapping on an extra hour labeled "insanity management". That should take care of the random calls and such that I deal with each day. Then there is the time keeping, filling out my 'scorecard', keeping up with client happenings, etc, etc.

Anyway, the last few days have been filled with some laughs and such. The neighbor now has a temporary restraining order courtesy of the ex. Got to love her. She keeps knocking on my door at all hours so I have been seeking the refuge of Starbucks. However, she caught up with me Monday night and wondered if I would like to read by the pool. It was such a nice night and I was still at it for work, so I said sure. I mean really, she did say we'd read, right? Yeah, as we sat down, I realized that there was NO BOOK IN HER HANDS!! Are you kidding me??? God was seriously laughing at that one. Actually he was probably pointing at me saying "Sucker!!"

Then I went window shopping at the mall. Never having been to a few of the higher end stores, I started there (mainly scoping for you Ev). Found a fantastic dress as Saks, but it was the same cost as a car payment. Couldn't do it, not even for the work awards banquet. Then I headed to the White House/Black Market store. (Who wouldn't love it there?!!) As I was getting into the dressing room, the clerk said "Wow, how tall are you?" "Uh, 5'10" "I mean, you are just really tall....in a good way." What do you say to that? Thanks?

I did see a great dress there and wished that I had someone to give me a second opinion. What do you think?

Eh. Anyway, as I was in the store, I gave my friend Faith a call (the one who got engaged the day before I left.) Got kind of a downer with that one. Her mom got her panties in a bunch because she was not going to have her sister as a bridesmaid. They are eleven years apart and she says they have never been close. I've only known her a year, so I let her know that while I am honored she asked me, I understand. :( (But I am quite disappointed.)

Getting excited for my trip back. Already have the first weekend booked and can't wait to cut off all of this hair!!
