Seriously. I feel like I have a sign that matches the Statue of Liberty. I'm a magnet for losers. When I was talking with E, she thought I was perhaps a little harsh on X. (Now, I don't really agree, but I felt like there really was no closer with the whole deal.) So, I called. I just wanted to make sure that we were on the same page. No, we are not going to give it a try. No, it will never happen, even in the future. No, I am not coming back to see you when I am in town. (Yes, ladies. I know how stupid it is. He may be irrational, but he's usually pretty bright once things are explained to him. So I had to give it the old college try.)
Anyway. No biggie. It was his birthday anyway. Best wishes from Florida and buh-bye.
That takes care of the rude (and jealous for that matter.) Now to the crazy. My neighbor got served. Oh yeah. 500 feet. Nice. Not only that, but I can't come home without her flinging open her door and hearing about it. Again. And again. This could be a long year. At least she mentioned something about moving in 5 months. I can do that. I dated X for 6, this ought to be a cakewalk. It will be a Merry Christmas this December.
Got a little homesick today. I went for a steak at a chain called Mimi's Cafe. Nice little italian joint. The steak was nice and they give you a bread basket. In it is an awesome sourdough baghette and this apple bread with LOTS of molasses. All I could think was that Dad would love it. Hope that my family makes it down soon. Sounds like most people aren't planning until visiting until February, but at least Ev will be down at the end of the month and Brandy will be here in September (for her birthday too!)
Well, that's all. Just sending a little update.

Getting homesick is all part of the game of life. Just think how blessed you are to have people to miss and be missed by.
Hugs from Nebraska!

Hmmm - you got a duplicate message. Lesson learned - don't hit the sent button twice. :-)
Hey there cuz. Sorry that your homesick, that sucks. What do I do when I'm feeling emotional (homesick, grumpy, whatever)? How about some chick lit, or even better - chick flick, popcorn with butter, snuggly blanket.
I'm just saying, it's okay to wallow a little bit. You don't have to be tough.
Might I recommend Under the Tuscan Sun? Perfect movie for independent girl power and all the riches to come. :-)
I loved Under the Tuscan Sun! There is also one with Chocolate in the title - came out around the same time - great movie.
