Getting excited/random happenings

So, I'm trying not to plan out my whole week back, but so far I am accompanying my friend Brandy to a wedding on Saturday, spending Sunday with my family at the farm (and cutting my hair off!), lunch with a few coworkers Monday at noon, dinner with Captain at The Blue Orchid in the eve, and wings with the usual suspects on Tuesday. Yeah!

For your entertainment: A few random events.

Went to the mall last week. I take the highway headed towards the bay and it is right before the bridge to St. Pete. Unless you miss your exit. As I went past the off ramp that looked familiar, I noticed the mall approaching on my left....crap. So, I figure I can just take the next exit and wander around until I get there. (How environmentally conscious of me, eh?) Except the next exit is in St. Pete! As the bridge over the bay looms ahead of me, I am travelling with the usual crazy Florida drivers. There are almost no speed limits below 45 mph here, unless you are in the Target parking garage. I am going 65mph, the speed limit, and people are whipping past me at nearly 85. Holy canoles! Pictures of my car being shoved off the bridge by some maniac in a Hummer and the bridge callapsing flash through my mind (I have GOT to quit watching the news). I keep waiting to get to the other side of the bay, but the bridge seems to go on forever. It's over 5 miles long and obviously (well, most of you are in NE, so maybe not obviously), there are no exits. I finally reach St. Pete and end up driving aimlessly for nearly ten minutes until I can find another on-ramp. (No quick turn arounds here.) I get back just in time to shop for 45 minutes and then watch all of the stores at the mall close. Super.

Did you know that only 1 out of 10 people at the beach can swim? What are they doing there? Do they simply enjoy promoting skin cancer, or is it the wonderful smell of salt and dead fish that attracts them? Well, this fun fact prompted one of the worst nightmares EVER. E and I were taking a scenic drive along the beach. We were speeding along a little cliff (fjord? do we have fjords in the U.S.?), when all of a sudden, the car starts to shift. We are falling.
In slow motion (seriously, this was like a movie starring me!), the car falls off of the road where all of the supporting ground had been washed out and collapsed. I look at E and tell her to roll her window down so she can swim out quickly -rather than waiting for the pressure to equalize so she can open the door. (Where do I get this crap?)
It's silent, just like when you are watching a movie and waiting for the impact of the truck to hit the small sports car then BOOM! We hit the water. It roars as it starts to rush into the car and as I unbuckle my seatbelt (even in my dreams Mom) I look over at E. She hit her head on the steering wheel, is bleeding and unconscious. I quick unbuckle her and as the car goes under I drag her out of my open window. Now what? I'm in a little cove surrounded by high walls of rock and holding my unconscious friend who is bleeding. ANOTHER FUN FACT? The state where the most shark attacks occur in the U.S. is Florida. (Also need to quit reading factoid books.) Oh, and I swim like a rock. Not the very small rocks from Monty Python, I mean like a 400lb boulder.
There I am trying to keep both of our heads out of water while trying to cough/breathe/call for help and....

Gripping eh? Didn't go back to sleep that night.

Blech. Bad dream. It's unusual to actually hit the bottom, I usually wake right before impact.

Are you feeling overwhelmed? What part of yourself would you relate to E (which is what that symbolizes and you are trying to save from drowning).

Either that - or stop eating right before bed. Maybe it was just gas.
