So, any of you ladies have any recommendations for Anti-Valentine's Day movies? They can either be in the theater or rentable. I'm looking for those ones that even though they have a happy ending, it is not due to the movie style kiss between the main character and his reformed shady girlfriend. I want action, drama, and minimal-to-no underlying love story. Pride and Prejudice? Nope. Superman Returns? Definitely not. Boondock Saints or My Cousin Vinny...now we're talking.
Just wanted to few ideas from you all.
I'm off to Orlando tonight, so if you want to talk to me before I drop of the face of the earth for a few days (I'm getting quality E time), then call me today. (That means you mom!)

Grease, Flashdance, Dirty Dancing... I'm blown away by the music and dancing thus not focused on the romance. I just want to dance!!!!
Saturday Night Fever!! How could I forget that movie. I get the giggles- "You touched my hair!"- we were such geeks, but thought we were so cool. I again just want to dance.
Chuck and Larry. Its all about the friendship! There are some underlying relationships, but they are so goofy that's you won't even notice.
Have you ever seen all of Thelma and Louise? Now might be a good time for you and "a friend" to watch it.
Thelma and Louise!!!! YESSSSSS!!! Napoleon? Ummm.... MY COUSIN VINNY?!?!? Dumb and Dumber? Get the old classics!! You can't fail with those! And as your mom said, get the other goodies that you don't pay attention to what's going on, you just laugh at the whole idea that it was once considered a blockbuster!! URBAN COWBOY!!! LOL!!! I watched that the other day. Don't know what the story is, but laughed the whole time at the clothes and less than stellar acting. Also watched My Cousin Vinny that night and seriously laughed till I cried. Once again, turned it over at the hunting scene. "Dead on bawls accurate? It's a technical term." I almost called you.
Ok.... done rambling.... sorry.
Oh mom. Dirty Dancing? for anti VD? don't put baby in a corner is not a line for the down hearted.
ANTI VD?!?! LOL!!!! Sorry.... I couldn't help it. And you KNOW mom will pick up on it too!! LOL!! HAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Freud would have a field day!!! LOL! Going to laugh my way to Hastings.... thanks for that!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Anti VD. I've always been anti-VD. Smirk.
How about The Notebook? Sleepless in Seattle? Say Anything? You've Got Mail? Love Actually?
Just kidding.
I've got nothing.
I was in love with love even before I was in love. Before I even knew what it was. I could watch a great romance movie even when so broken-hearted. It gave me hope.
Then again, V Day has become just another day 'round here. We don't play into such things here at our house. Although, I may suprise hubs with a new tshirt or something. Because I'm romantic like that.
Okay, how about Scooby Doo Goes to Hollywood?
