FSM stands for the "Flying Spaghetti Monster". In response to the Kansas School board voting on intelligent design, a couple of guys basically started giving them grief about teaching every theory of creation, including the Gospel of The Flying Spaghetti Monster. (One of their "beliefs" is that people evolved from pirates, not monkeys. Therefore, International Talk Like a Pirate Day is one of their holidays.)
