The Dangler family made the front page of the Lincoln Journal Star. It is not a happy story, but it is front page news. In 1977, Judy Dangler, the wife of my dad's cousin Bob, disappeared. There was no word from her for 11 months, until her killer was captured and he led local police to the burial site.
They did a follow up story on how the two families (another young mother was also taken by the same man) have survived and the lasting effects. I have heard of Judy a few times, but it is never really spoken of (you know us old school German/Midwest families and talking about our feelings....)
I don't know if you saw it, but if you don't want to read something hard, avoid the link. It just really hit me hard and makes me sad that there are such awful people out there.

I knew nothing about this! I'm sorry that you're sad, I have stuff hit me like that too sometimes, when reminded of things from the past. This is especially sad, my goodness!
(I'm not going to the link because that is exactly the kind of stuff that gets me all freaked out and fearful. Yuck!)
Do something especially fun and goofy today. Retail therapy is always helpful.
Oh - and I just tagged you for a meme, so that'll give you something fun to write about!
I will also avoid the link, however I didn't know of any such thing either! How awful. Say your prayers tonight, thanking God it wasn't the Judy we all know and love and that all of our family is still safe and sound!!!
