10/21 Scene 4: just the usual

Update:

I will be back for Thanksgiving courtesy of +p. They planned a session for Monday the 19th, and I'm just gonna delay going right back home for a few days.
--
I got an email from another one of the guys from the conference not in the picture. He ended it with:
"I think we had a great group and you were one of the people who made it unique."
--
Was supposed to have a meeting with the CEO today and got blown off (i.e. he got distracted by something else). It is rescheduled and I am super excited because I think it will set me up for a few cool projects.
--
I signed up for the GRE test for my application for my PhD. It is scheduled for Oct 31st at noon. This will most likely determine if I get accepted or not!
--
And to end this little trail, we started a weight loss thing. They measure our body fat percentage and we are supposed to try and lose 3%. Yeah, talk about depressing. Nice way to welcome me back to NE. "Hi, you have borderline healthy BMI! Try and drop a few pounds and just to make it harder, you weigh in again the day after Thanksgiving!"
Oh well, if I win I get $100. Nice....

Glad you're back, I missed your posts.

Hey - the GRE. Get one of the books. Study your vocab. Study your box and whisker plot. Study the SAT words. I went so far as to make flash cards. My real-world career brain was all mushy and needed exercise. The 10 days or so that I studied helped me a lot. My score rocked and was under the averages of only those hoping for careers as doctors. So hey, I must have done something right.

Really...study. And good luck!
